Poetry

The Holy Father(2/20/10)

I slept in a meadow,

Surrounded by petals of pale yellow.

The dress that I wore was filled with allure,

And the dreams n my head continued with no end.

My heart rises and falls,

Protected by the One who knows all.

He stirs me up,

To let me know that my time is up.

I thank Him,

For His kindness and mercy,

His tender-hearted courtesy.

I have seen the light

Which gives Him so much delight.

So now I am here,

Knowing that I have nothing to fear,

Because The Father, who is love, is here.

Longing(2/20/10)

I found love

Something that you find in the clouds above.

You were there

In the flower fields.

Even though I didn’t notice

When you were gone,

You feared I wouldn’t stay

In the fields for long.

When you went off to war,

I cried and begged for you more,

Hoping you would come to the ocean shore,

So that I can see you once more.

A Place(2/20/10)

I see you in the rain

Your green eyes appear sane

You take me in your arms

And tell me about all your charms

The umbrella that I carry

Protects us so we’re merry

Happy to know that we are alone

Able to smell his fragrant cologne.

He takes me by the hand

And we walk hand in hand

To a place filled with dreams and life

A place where one finally belongs

A place that we discovered all along
