I love the beginning of Genesis as well, it's so beautifull and amazing to think about God creating a wonderfull place out of nothing. ^_^
I also really like all the stories in the Gospels where people come to Jesus with hopes for things that seem impossible - like seeing or walking again - and He makes it happen! These are so encouraging to me. God's encouragement for us to have faith I think has been very important to me as an NF 'Idealist' because so many people tell me that my hopes and vision are impractical and seem to believe that only the negative and boring is possible in life, expecting everyone to just 'suck it up' and trudge on. Yet God rewards people who come to Him with seemingly crazy hopes. He tells us to ask Him and believe.
I also love the parable about the lilies of the field being clothed more beautifully than Solomon in his glory. God brings this one to my mind when I start feeling insecure. It reminds me that He has promised to provide, and that He does so extravagantly.
